Scope: C8 f/3.3 Location: Del Mar, CA 1/13/2004 Camera: ToUcam SC3

Exposure: 12 x 20 sec, Exposure with IR Block, 8 x 180 sec HA exposure, 12 x 20 sec RGB Exposures.

Processing: Captured and stacked in K3CCDTools with HA, IR,R,G,B saved as FITs. HA, IR,RGB masters were co-registered in Astroart. Some Lowpass filtering was applied on the HA and IR channels. HA and IR were combined for Luminance. HA and Red combined for red. These combinations and LRGB combine were done in Photoshop. Luminance Layering was used. No ears - the exposure was made with RAW mode. Color balancing and final touches in Photoshop.

This was a guided exposure. In the processing I noticed a fair amount of blue in nebula portion in the Blue exposure. So in combining the HA and Red for the red channel, I tried not to overpower the other colors by heavily favoring the red channel with the HA combine. This image replaces an earlier image which can be seen in the Archives here. Horizontal FOV is 26'
