Exposure: 18 x 4 min (1x1 bin) exposure with UV/IR block, 10 x 2 min (2x2 bin) RGB exposures.
Processing: Data Collection - Artemis Capture (as FITs). Calibrated, stacked (Sigma Combine), LRGB channel registration, equalization - Astroart. Curves, Levels, LRGB combine and finishing - Photoshop. This image is a straightforward LRGB combine with Luminance layering. Final Image size is approximately 1800 x 1350.
North is up in this image. This galaxy field is in the constellation of Canes Venatici. The dominant galaxy on the left is NGC 5371. There is a small spiral galaxy toward the bottom - this is UGC 8841The three medium sized galaxies on the right near the bright star are NGC 5350, NGC 5354, and NGC 5353 from top to bottom. These three galaxies range from 100-123 million light years distant from Earth. NGC 5371 is about 106 million light years distant from Earth. The bright star is HD 121197 at a distance of 1,370 light years from Earth (much closer of course than the galaxies). Horizontal FOV is 60'
