Exposure: 12 x 10 min (1x1 bin) exposure with UV/IR block, 16 x 10 minutes
(2x2 bin) exposure with Hydrogen Alpha filter, 8 x 4 min (2x2 bin) RGB
exposures.
Processing: Data
Collection - Sequence Generator Pro (as FITs). Calibrated, stacked
(Kappa Sigma Combine) - Deep Sky Stacker. Ha-LRGB channel registration,
equalization and gradient removal - Astroart. Curves, Levels, RGB
combine - ImagesPlus. Luminance Layering, final stretch, and finishing -
Photoshop. RGB calibration - eXcalibrator. This image is a RGB combine
with Luminance layering. Color saturation in LAB color. The H-Alpha
filter exposure was screen blended into the IR/UV Blocking filter exposure stack
and used for the
luminance layer. Ha was screen blended into the Red channel for Ha highlights in Photoshop. Images processed at 3352 x 2532 resolution. Final Image size is approximately
2600 x 1950. North is up in this image. The
red emission nebula in the center is Sharpless 150 - it is also known as LBN 520.
Sharpless 150 is ionized
by two stars - HD 213087 and HD 213405 - the largest bright blue stars on the
right. The faint blue reflection nebula above Sharpless 150 is vdB154
(also known as LBN 523). Another Sharpless object (Sh2-145) is partially in this
field in the lower right. There are several dark nebulae in this field
- LDB 1206, 1207, 1208, 1209, 1214. There is a small galactic nebula (RNO 142)
just to the right of Sharpless 150. These objects and some
of the brighter stars are identified in the annotated
image. Horizontal FOV is approximately 120 arc minutes. Full size
image scale is 2.77 arcsec/pix. Image center is approximately - Equatorial 2000: RA: 22h 31m 11s Dec: +65°06'51"
