M75 in Sagittarius

Scope: C8 at  f/10 Location: Del Mar, CA;   30  Oct. 2004; Camera: ToUcam SC3

Exposure: 20 x 10 sec and 12 x 32 sec exposures with IR filter 13 x 25 sec each RGB exposures.

Processing: Images were captured in K3CCDTools. Aligned/stacked in Registax and saved as FITS. Luminance and Color channels were scaled and rough color balanced in Astroart. Channels were co-registered in Astroart. The 32  sec  exposure was used as the base Luminance channel. The shorter Luminance exposure was normal combined with core mask to desaturate  the core in the Luminance channel (with limited success). Luminance and Color FITS were combined in Photoshop with Luminance Layering. Color balancing and final touches in Photoshop. SGBNR (PixInsight LE) was used to smooth background noise on  the final result. Resized to approximately 800x600.

This image was guided. This image was taken at a fairly light polluted site which worked to limit my exposure. The long focal length required more exposure, but it was needed for this small object. M75 is a borderline object -  it is in Sagittarius close to the Capricornus border. Horizontal FOV is 8'
