Scope: Explore Scientific MN152 Maksutov Newtonian at f/4.8, Location: Pine Creek, CA,  2 September 2016  Camera: ST8300M (Baader Ha LRGB filters)

Exposure: Exposure:  14 x 7 min (1x1 bin) exposure with IR/UV Block filter, 14 x 10 min (2x2 bin) exposure with H-Alpha filter, 8 x 4 min (2x2 bin) RGB exposures.

Processing: Data Collection -  Sequence Generator Pro (as FITs).  Calibrated, stacked (Kappa Sigma Combine) - Deep Sky Stacker. LRGB channel registration, equalization, and gradient removal - Astroart.  Curves, Levels, RGB combine - ImagesPlus. Luminance Layering, final stretch, and finishing  - Photoshop.  RGB calibration - eXcalibrator. This image is a  RGB combine with Luminance layering.  Color saturation in LAB color.  The H-Alpha filter exposure was screen blended into both the IR/UV Blocking filter exposure stack and used for the luminance layer; Ha was selectively blended to the RGB channels. Images processed at 3352 x 2532 resolution. Final Image size is approximately  2000 x 1500.

North is up in this image.  This supernova remnant known as Abell 85 and as CTB 1 is located  in the constellation of Cassiopeia. It is in Abell's catalog of planetary nebulae but later determined to be a supernova remnant . The southern portion of the supernova remnant bubble also made it to Lynds bright nebula catalog as LBN 576.  The right side of the image shows two small reflection nebulae (GN 23.50.6.02 and .03), a small possible planetary nebula (We 2-262), and a dark nebula (Dobashi 3605). These objects  and a fe bright stars are identified in the annotated image.  Horizontal FOV is 85'

Image center is located approximately - Equatorial 2000: RA: 23h 57m 05s Dec: +6229'29"
